Tarja - New Album Cover Artwork Revealed
Former Nightwish singer Tarja will release her new album Colours In The Dark in Europe on August 23rd via earMUSIC and the album will be made available in North America on August 27th through Eagle Rock imprint Armoury Records. The new release is the successor to What Lies Beneath (2010) and we begin to know more about it as the cover artwork created by Dirk Rudolph has been unveiled and can now be seen below.
Other details revealed so far are some of the song titles such as "Until Silence" and "Deliverance" and Colours In The Dark was mixed and mastered by Tim Palmer in Austin, Texas (Pearl Jam, U2). More should be unveiled soon.

I do like the cover a lot. The first impression was so shitty, but, the more i look, the more i think it's all done in porpouse. She tried to stay out from the conventional covers of Sympho. I like it.

Not really works as a good cover. Too much space above Tarja and very lousy work. Fill the space in the left and the right top corners, maybe it will work that way, but not exactly the color scheme what I would use. Red and such vivid colors work must be used carefully with definition and preciosity. This is too much. Wouldn't be so shitty, if they would fill up the gaps. The art work isn't so bad. But this is my few cents as a graphic designer. More interested in the music.
