Appalachian Winter - Update From The Band
Symphonic black metal one-man band Appalachian Winter has finally released an update after a long silence. The new announcement revealed that Appalachian Winter will release a split vinyl with Draumar called Berglieder that features mostly orchestrated pieces. Their sixth album, which follows Ghosts Of The Mountains, should come out next year through Nine Gates.
Latest update: "Apologies for the silence, but I hate shit-posting. However, I've got news! The next release through Nine Gates Records involving Appalachian Winter will indeed be split vinyl with Draumar. The release is called Berglieder. I'll be honest; those of you who are here for the heavy metal might want to sit this one out. Both Andreas and I have done purely orchestrated pieces for this release. It'll be four songs for each of us to a total of 36 minutes for the whole thing (18 minutes per side almost exactly). Also, Andreas is a first-rate composer, and his side kicks the ever-loving Christ out of my side. But hey, at least you're going to get four good, new Draumar tracks - that I can promise you. I won't spill too much more about the release - it's still a few months off (we're thinking it'll be an October release) - but I will say for those of you who actually like the garbage I put out regularly that if you like 'Call Of The Lonesome Wind', you'll want this record."
"Speaking of garbage, the sixth full-length release for Appalachian Winter - the one to follow Ghosts Of The Mountains - which is also slated for next year's (probably late in the year) line of releases by Nine Gates Records as well, is coming along nicely. I've nothing else beyond 'Rise To The Heavens' complete, but a number of ideas are started. Just to let you good folks know!"
