Jupiter - Announce Second Album


In another sign they're becoming as prolific as predecessors Versailles, symphonic power metallers Jupiter have announced they'll be releasing the follow-up to 2013 debut Classical Element in the new year. Entitled History Of Genesis, the visual kei quintet's sophomore release will be out on January 7th, 2015 via Universal Music Japan. No information concerning the record's contents has yet been disclosed.

Then again pretty much all VK bands have ridiculous outfits. However, I do not really care about it, I'd rather focus on what they deliver musically.

Yes, I'm also on this viewpoint. The music from those bands is generally well-received.

Yes, I'm also on this viewpoint. The music from those bands is generally well-received.

Not necessarily all bands that are part of this movement are good though. Some of them mask their inability to play their instruments well, or their incapacity of composing decent songs with these sort of theatrics and costumes. Some of them manage to breach into mainstream, others don't. What we need to understand is that Visual Kei bands, same like American glam bands or british punk bands have both brilliant outfits and mediocre ones.

I agree though with the words of Blackie Lawless from WASP's fame: it is not the theatrics that make the music, it is the music that makes the theatrics.
