The artwork has Seth Siro Anton's signature all over it - grotesque and austere - but with a gothic tinge to it of course.

Ugh what an ugly cover...This Seth Siro Anton thing needs to be stopped. Most of his works look pretty much the same.

Christ I wouldn't accept to have a cover like this on my album if I were held at gunpoint. This guy is the archetype of zero talent photoshop wankers "graphic designers".

What an awful album cover, holy hell ... I can't imagine anyone being satisfied with something like this. Even worse than the recent Septicflesh covers, which were at least acceptable.

The problem with seth's artworks except the fact that he uses the same "drawing-style" is that he uses the same fucking colours....

Jesus... Not a Seth Siro hater like most people here, I really like some of his work but damn he is definitely hit or miss sometimes, this is god awful.

Snobs gotta right target to attack. Not only its an awful artwork but also came from SETH.

He tends to get targeted.

Wow, that tacky frame somehow elevated Sethy Siro to a whole new level of awful.

My God that has got to be one of the ugliest artworks I have ever seen!
Aside from how dreadful this particular piece is, has this guy ever considered using other colors than grey? This, Titan, The Great Mass, At The Gates of Sethu, seriously, random creepy/sinister/whatever person in front of a grey background must be boring even for him now

I'm a fan since almost the beginning of their career and being Portuguese they are something like a musical icon that represents all of us Portuguese metalheads, but i totally agree with you all, this is one of the ugliest covers i've ever seen in my life...

Maybe the reaction that his art generates is exactly what it is intended by the artist, the feeling of revulsion and nausea that one experiences in the face of utter hideousness. Maybe he is, in fact, a true genius.

He's the Tommy Wiseau of metal artworks. You just don't know if he's serious with his pile of shit or is a troll genius.

No. This isn't sock art. ORLAN, Delvoye, Cattelan do shock art, and Orlan actually does real body art, real body transformations and performance. There is nothing shocking - but the amateurism - here. To achieve shock there has to be a minimum of realism, or enough mastery of any technique - realistic or not - to immerse you in a universe, then shock you with what it's depicting. If Anton's stuff was exceedingly anything, I'd agree with you, buy everything about what he does is so approximative in its technique and half-thought that you can't even save him with a theory like yours .

Even those math formulas at the background doesn,t save this from being pure shit.

Interesting! I've always found art to be captivating but I'm less than familiar with all the technicalities and techniques that come with the discipline. Thanks for the names of those artists, I've never heard of them before and will be sure to explore their work. :^)

Either way, this artwork is truly ugly and if Anton really wanted to arouse disgust in his subjects, he did a fucking great job.

I hope the album isn't this disturbing and colorless.

Also, is there anyway we can convince Moonspell to not use this as an album cover? any way at all?

This is so unlike Moonspell. Nothing in that 'artwork' evokes the band's music in any way...

But I guess the Moonspell guys just don't know how to tell their friend Seth "er, well, your cover sucks"...
And thinking we'll have to endure that as a backdrop on their upcoming tour... (with Septicflesh)

Hideous. So clichéd... and you can tell it's a Seth Siro artwork, it resembles a lot like Septic Flesh's recent covers.
