AC/DC - Drummer Chris Slade Confirms Return To The Band
After much speculation, drummer Chris Slade has confirmed his return to hard rockers AC/DC. He will perform with the band at the Grammy Awards today at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California and on the upcoming Rock Or Bust tour. The former drummer of the band fills the vacancy created by Phil Rudd's ongoing legal battles.
Chris Slade said in a statement: "This is an amazing opportunity for me, after all most people don't ever get to play with their favourite band once, let alone TWICE! I would like to thank everyone for the overwhelming support I have been shown personally, on the Facebook page and other social media, not one comment has gone unread and it has been very humbling, Thanks so much. We apologise for the secrecy, please understand this was for all the right reasons."
The band still hasn't officially commented on Slade's return. He previously played with AC/DC from 1989 to 1994.
AC/DC are returning to US TV for the first time in over 14 years to perform at the 57th Grammy Awards.
