Crown - New Album Announced
French sludge/doom metal group Crown has recently announced their new album. If you know their previous work Psychurgy, you can start to anticipate the new opus Natron. It will drop in late July via Candlelight Records. As of now, there is still no new tunes to listen to but you can feast your eyes on the cover artwork below and see the tracklist.
Artwork by Maks.L Pathologikal
Tracks:
01. Serpents (feat. Neige/Alcest)
02. The Words You Speak Are Not Your Own (feat. Frederyk Rotter/Zatokrev)
03. Wings Beating Over Heaven (feat. Michiel Eikenaar/Nihill & Neige/Alcest)
04. Fossils (feat. Khvost/Grave Pleasures)
05. Apnea
06. Tension Of Duality (feat. Frederyk Rotter/Zatokrev)
07. Flames
Natron was recorded by Stéphane Azam at Gartbaum Studio with producer/mixer David Husser at Temple Studio. The mastering was done by Adam Bastard at Warmer Mastering.
The label says: "The trio's depth-charging guitars and buried melodic tendencies snake around hissing electronics, a tribal / military percussive thwack, and the splashing cymbals of a minimal-yet-completely-effective drum-machine. Their sound is further emboldened by a massive bestial roar, heavy and oppressive, leading to an abyss of nothingness? Welcome to the dark, spiraling, and obscure experiments of Crown."
