In my opinion, not a good choice. You should have stood up and went up with the show instead of bowing down before terror. This is a french man talking, we won't change our life because of sick bastards !

Indeed.
Sadly, I'm expecting wave of concerts cancelled in the next few weeks...
On the other hand, I wasn't there - forgot about it - but Gorod and Mass Hysteria did play yesterday evening in Toulouse, for about 850 people it seems. Which is good.

Yes, many bands are cancelling their shows in Paris at the moment. Motörhead have already postponed their show in France too.
I also think it would be better to do these shows. Maybe the bands think people will be scared to attend?

maybe. It's sure less people will go out and attend shows, go to restaurants and stuff... And while I totally understand bands that fear for their (and their fans's) security, I still think it would be better to keep them as planned. Haven't bought the tickets yet, but I have Nightwish, Yossi Sassi, and Misanthrope / Stille Volk planned in the next few weeks...

Metal bands don't play in such areas where acts can happen, I have no opinion what is better cancer or not , unless cancel means get money back ,then why not but I understand people
Sport events also are canceled in France this week, but seems Fra-Eng ball game will go on ...

Nightwish recently made a point of NOT cancelling. This looks pretty weak in comparison.

I certainly won't stop attending shows but I'll probably remember Le Bataclan the next times I enter a venue. I wish Nightwish would come to Portugal though ;/

Oh, I will too. How could I do otherwise?
BTW I love Nightwish's response to the events (seen on their FB:
Quote: "The first show of our European Tour was a magical evening filled with the universal language of music, goodwill and love. Those things will never be silenced - despite the deeply shocking events in Paris.
So, in solidarity with France, Europe, and the rest of the good, sane people of our world, we have no intention of cancelling our shows in France or anywhere else for that matter.
Defiance is vital in the face of such darkness."
Yours as ever,
Nightwish

Yeah, as I wrote a couple posts above here, Nightwish are actually making a very good statement. Whereas all these other bands now look like cowards. Some of them have legit reasons, such as the venue being shut down due to the attacks, but some are just making excuses or cancelling for no reason...
