But seriously, not a very good cover at all. Then again, most of Arjen's projects' album covers have been cheesy as hell.

With the spherical pods there is a Resident Evil: Extinction vibe.

Promising with just a bad cover art and title? I fear this will be no better than that one and I didn't dig his last collaborative album Gentle Storm so I have zero hopes for this.

What are you talking about? Theory of Everything was the best album Lucassen produced ever. Of course, Human Equation is also the best, but the last one had the concept that held, leitmotifs here and there, returning themes in different arrangements, best vocal outputs ever, solos from few greatest keyboardists, amazing flute in the beginning of the Third Phase and many many other things that added up to an amazing musical experience. It is still in my player. TTOE had the new feeling to an Ayreon album, because of its structure and seamless flow. It really felt like one big amazing and brilliant piece of music art. I am just surprised how many people could not swallow it and fail to see/hear all of the above.
However, use of old vocalists on "The Source", return to cosmic Forever theme in a prequel form, and now the top-notched but tremendously cliched cover that usually could be found on legion of well produced prog-metal bands album arts is a bit disturbing (and I expected ia cover art to be in the veins of TTOE or 0101). Though, Lucassen has never failed, so high hopes.

PS Gentle Storm took a while to get in, but is very good and emotional music. Though, I always liked Ayreon outputs more than any other Lucassen's projects.

I have seen better covers, but I think there are higher expectations for the music.

There was a deleted scene where they all got captured by xenomorphs and put into stasis pods. I think it was in the director's cut.

lol that would be weird as hell I prefer The Crown anyway.

On topic: curious about the new album but I'm no big fan of Ayreon in general.

I'm pumped for this album and the live DVD!
