Havok - Another New Song Streaming Online

After releasing a lyric video of new song "Hang 'Em High" (here) over a month back, Havok unleashed another new track off the upcoming record, Conformicide (out March 10th). The song, titled "Ingsoc," is the longest running track on the new album and lyrically takes heavy influence from the classic George Orwell novel, 1984.

Speaking about "Ingsoc", lead guitarist Reece Scruggs states: "This is one of my favorite tracks on the record, and a bit left field compared to most Havok tracks. Full of slamming riffs and burning lines; it's still 100% us but a bit progressive. I fully believe this song display the best in each of us and comes together to be a ripper!"

After the 4 minutes mark the song really picks up. Second half of the song is much better than the first half which is a little tedious at points. Great musicianship, time changes, off beats. A lot of ideas in this song. It's one of the most complex Havoc songs they've made. I think it's a healthy idea and well executed. They are growing as a band, they are only getting better.

Well that is pretty progressive. Still an awesome song, maybe these guys can actually climb back up from that massive hole they dug themselves into with the last album. We'll see.

FAIRLY promising. The last 1/3 DOES KICK ASS and this one particular part sounds almost like classic Megadeth during RIP era.
