Temple Of Void - New Album Out In July
Death/doom metallers Temple Of Void will be releasing their second album, Lords Of Death, on July 18th, via Shadow Kingdom Records. The first song to be revealed from the successor to Of Terror And The Supernatural is called "Wretched Banquet" and you can listen to it below.
Markus Makkonen (Hooded Menace, Sadistik Forest) has praised the album by saying the following: "An uncompromising record from the band that made one of the very best, if not THE best death/doom debut in last five years or so. Weighty death metal groove and suffocating, gloomy atmosphere in just the right mix together. Album-of-the-year material!"
The new album emphasizes the deathlier aspects of the band's debut and is pumped by addicting, headbanging energy. Put another way, whereas Of Terror And The Supernatural was doom with death metal, Lords Of Death is death metal with doom. The album was recorded at Mount Doom in Detroit and the morbid artwork is the work of Paolo Girardi.
