Twisted Sister - Sues Promoter Over Unpaid Farewell Show Fee

Twisted Sister, now disbanded, has sued the promoter of last year's Rock Carnival festival, claiming the band has only been paid $50,000 of the $200,000 it was to receive for headlining one of the three nights at the Lakewood, New Jersey event. And they're not gonna take it. In court papers, promoter John D'Esposito and his company Rock N Festivals said they "suffered catastrophic economic losses" due to three days of heavy rain that weekend.

"Thousands of people were prevented from attending because of torrential rains and excessive winds," he said. "Refunds had to be issued."

Twisted Sister says it was paid $50,000 in early December for its October 1st performance but it has not yet paid the remaining $150,000.

The promoter also said the band caused thousands of dollars in damage to the baseball field when lead singer Dee Snider's limousine drove across it "because it was raining so hard that Snider refused to walk to the stage." But Snider says that is a lie.

"After a stellar 14-year reunion in which we played in 32 countries all around the world, to have this happen at the final show in the New York area is very disheartening to the band," guitarist French told The Associated Press.

The case is pending in state Superior Court in Monmouth County.

I can believe that limosene incident. Most rock icons from that era are usually primadonnas.
