Apparently she announced her new album on the same day I saw her live at Malmö with my sister. She played a few tracks and it seems this is far more "metal" than her previous works. Definitely on the heavy/dark side and less folk influences.

Man, I fucking love the riffs with her distorted voice. So fragile yet powerful.

Agree, this is so wonderful. Apparently this album is more on the metal side yes and the new track is delicious.

Jealous because I never got a chance to see her live but it will come *fingers crossed*

Too metal and not airy enough for my liking
also she needs to stop using crappy covers for her albums.

I think this is a great change, more albums in the same airy tone would have been boring. I'm glad she's constantly reinventing herself yet keeping the overall traits of her craft.

Going to the direction that 99% of metal musicians are doing is not new. that is not "reinventing" herself. More like following the others. This change makes her less original, not more.
Following her own unique formula introduces much more diversity to the metal world.
any ways, this is just one single. I will wait to see if the rest of the album is like this.

Please, send me anything that you can find that sound like this because I really like it and I'd like to ehar more. The only one I can think of is Marriages!
Also, this is still not metal and she has NEVER been metal so... Way off to compare her with them.

Her voice sounds a lot like Siouxsie Sioux. However, the music doesn't have much in common with Siouxsie & The Banshees apart from the dark atmosphere that both bands have. This song is awesome btw.

I somehow forgot to answer this. Here you go:

jokes aside, what I meant was that she will be breaking the balance that she had mastered if she moves towards a more metalic realm. In that case, the atmosphere will be lacking, like this new track.
