Black Sabbath - Release Final Performance Of 'Paranoid'

Today you can watch Black Sabbath's final performance of their legendary song "Paranoid". This clip will appear on the upcoming The End Of The End Blu-ray and DVD release, which will also be released on CD and vinyl on November 17th via Eagle Rock. It was captured at their last-ever show in Birmingham in February and was the last track they played together.

The film will include the incredible final gig as well as unprecedented behind the scenes access to the band, filmed by director Dick Carruthers (Led Zeppelin: Celebration Day, Imagine Dragons: Smoke + Mirrors Live). Pre-orders are available here now.

I saw the special playing of it in select theatres a month ago...

Was pretty disappointed with the version that was played, but the DVD might have different ways to play it.

The live show stuff sounded great, but they didn't actually show too many songs, and when they did they would turn the music down during the guitar solos and let the guys talk about random stuff over the top of it. The camera direction also felt like it was done by some ADHD action movie fan rather than a fan of music, with random zooming and focus changes and, for the few solos we did get to hear, would spend most of Iommi's guitar solos wandering around zooming in on a cymbal then Geezer then the crowd, etc.

On the upside though, as I said the songs sounded great when we got to hear them, and some of the stories were fun/funny.

As long as the DVD has a way to watch just the live performance and leave out all the documentary stuff, it should be good.
