Alan Gaunt, the lead singer of British progressive metal band Thine, has passed away couple of days ago at the age of 40, after suffering from a heart attack, it has been revealed. Alan also worked as a video editor and producer, collaborating with a number of other bands, including My Dying Bride, who posted the following message on their Facebook page (read below).

My Dying Bride commented: "In the early hours of Tuesday morning we were informed Alan had passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. Due to personal reasons we were asked not to post any tributes but we can now. Results today rule that this was due to a heart attack. He was 40yrs old. He was a good friend of the band and helped on more than one video project they did. He will be sadly missed. Bye for now Alan."
