Finland's folk metal outfit Verikalpa are currently in the studio, where the recording sessions for their second studio album are already in full swing. Their debut record Taistelutahto was released in February, 2018. Stay tuned for more info and details.

Statement from the band: "As some of you may now we've entered the studio to record our second full-length album (if you've missed it please follow us on Instagram to see where we're drunk in any given time) and we've recorded the bass'n drumz for 11 songs so yeah the next album is going to be a meatier piece of art. In other news our guitarist Janne Niva and drummer Aleksi Heiskanen won't be playing in Verikalpa anymore, there was no drama between the lads and Verikalpa and we're still partying and drinking in the same gangs. Thank you guys for your time and dedication to the band, behind us are magnificent gigs and even more magnificent memories! Verikalpa is like a fully loaded beer-truck so we're way too hard to stop so without further ado please give a malty welcome to our new axemaster Sami Ikonen and drum-machine Jari Huttunen! As you can see from the picture the guys fit nicely to the bunch."
