Quartz - Part Ways With Vocalist David Garner
Quartz have posted on their Facebook page that they have parted ways with their vocalist David Garner. He stayed eight years with the band and the separation was amicable. Read the band's full statement below.
Quartz posted the following: "It is with regret that due to mounting pressures David Garner has had to review his position as our vocalist and has come to a difficult decision recently deciding that he will need to leave the band. All members of Quartz and associated band supporters are very saddened with the news but respect his decision and want to wish him well for the future. Also we would like to thank David for his contributions and renewed friendship over the past eight years since the band reformed."

Quartz Rock Band (Official) 20 hrs · BAND STATEMENT FROM QUARTZ REGARDING BROFEST#6 Dear festival goers, We recently found ourselves in an unexpected position when our lead vocalist, Dave Garner, decided to leave the band due to mounting pressures. As we know all the background involved in organising gigs, festivals and events we thought it best at the time to inform every one of the bands' situation. Unfortunately we still have not as yet been able to find a vocalist so have advised Brofest UK that the band will therefore reluctantly need to withdraw from their festival thus giving sufficient time for a suitable replacement act to be found. We were all really looking forward to appearing up in Newcastle next year but sadly this will not be the case now for which we can only apologise. This is the first time that we have had to cancel a festival slot and goes against everything we stand for. Best Regards Dek, Mick and Malcolm
