Brutus - Drummer Commits Suicide
Dutch death metal drummer Maarten "Ploegbaas" Luysterburg (Brutus, ex-Goddess Of Desire) took his own life on Tuesday, October 24. He was 25 years old. In a posting in the guestbook section of the band's official website the band confirmed Luysterburg's passing, saying that "the weight of the world motivated him throughout his life but in the end got the best of him."
Services for Maarten "Ploegbaas" Luysterburg will be held on Monday, October 30 in Etten-Leur, Holland.

apparently I more or less knew the guy. I heard yesterday that I had bumped into him quite a few times in my local record store which he also went. From a reliable source I heard that he somehow couldn't handle the pressure of Brutus becoming quite big (especially in the dutch death metal scene) R.I.P.
