Demons & Wizards - Present New Official Video
Demons & Wizards present new music video for the group's most recent single "Wolves In Winter", taken from the forthcoming new record III. The latter will be out in one week, on February 21st. The video clip was directed by Ivan Čolić and produced by iCODE Team.
Jon Schaffer comments: "I'm not sure why the title of this song came to me so strongly when I wrote and arranged the music. But it certainly did. I even put the wolves howling part on the pre-production demo before I had written any lyrics or heard any vocal melodies from Hansi.
"It is about embracing the beast that lies within us all. At any rate, it's a cool song with a big hooky chorus. My favorite part is the verse riff though. It just sounds heavy and intense, and you can't go wrong with that combination."
Hansi Kürsch adds: "Wolves In Winter" is definitely a tune, you want to hear live and even more than hearing it, you want to sing along with it immediately. Feel free to rehearse in front of your speakers!"

Awesome track! Video is weird as hell, especially at the end - Hani's lips get desycned a bit from the words and the wolf transformation is.... unnerving. Anyway, love the song! It's been at least 10 years since the last good power metal song about a wolf! Sonata Arctica fans in shambles.

If not for "Dante's Inferno", Burnt Offerings would not even be mentioned elsewhere with the words "good, fun" attached to it. Horror Show was the last time they tried, after that just a generic, formulaic, approach to their songs. I can't believe Hansi or Stu are wasting their precious time and talent with this hack, it's beyond belief

A night at the opera, although a different sound, it's a very well done album (musically, the production is a bit weird). A twist in the myth was pretty sad, it was too by the numbers but it's far better than Iced Earth always wanted to be. the 2010 album was better, but still in the different sound that divided its fanbase, 2015 is the same. The orchestral album was not for me, but whatever. Now, Demons and Wizards were always held back because of Schaffer, it sounds like Iced Earth a bit uptempo with Hansi on vocals, which is not good.

My point was about how Schaffer is bad at songwriting after the first two Iced Earth albums, the dude just doesnt cut anymore. Anyone following Iced Earth or even Demons & Wizards saw this album coming, it's his music with Hansi on vocals. The difference is that he's getting more stale as the time passes, so this album has only two songs that doesnt sound like each other
