Wardruna - 'Kvitravn' Album Release Postponed To 2021
The enthusiasts of Wardruna will have to wait for the new music a few more months. The band have posted a statement (full text available below), that because of the current situation with Covid-19, they've decided to postpone the official release of their upcoming studio album Kvitravn. New date: 21.01.2021.
"It is with heavy hearts and great disappointment that we announce that our upcoming album Kvitravn will be moved to January 22nd, 2021. Closed down production factories and heavily reduced logistic services due to the COVID-19 situation makes it impossible to go forth with the release as planned. Nobody knows how long this situation will last and therefore we feel it is best to set a realistic date with a higher certainty of us being able to execute the release in the manner needed. On a more positive note, we plan to release a good handful of songs in the time to come before the full album comes out so stay tuned!"

A real bummer, but understandable. Luckily we have a great back catalogue to continue to enjoy and it sounds like we'll get some new music in the interim anyways. Praise be!

Gutted, I know they probably want to preserve the 'authenticity' of the release, but even if they can't distribute the physical copies, I'm sure people would appreciate having digital copies available. At least they've said they'll put out a few songs in the meantime
