Mar De Grises - Announce Vinyl Reissues Of First Two Albums
Two decades since the band's formation and roughly seven years after its sad end, Chilean doom/death alchemists Mar De Grises, in partnership with Spanish label The Vinyl Division, proudly present the limited re-issues of the band's first two releases: The Tatterdemalion Express (2004) and Draining The Waterheart (2008). More information on how to order here.
Band statement on these releases:
"Hi there. We hope that, wherever you are reading this, you've managed to stay positive through the crazy times we are living.
"Some time ago David from the Spanish label The Vinyl Division contacted us to reissue our albums The Tatterdemalion Express and Draining The Waterheart on vinyl format. Focusing on that project has definitely made this complicated period more bearable for us. And now we are able to share the results with you: Our first vinyl edition, for which the audio has been remastered, and we have added texts (anecdotes, remembrances), as well as other surprises.
"Listening ... again, with higher quality, and looking back on our history, has been invigorating and joyful. That energy has surely made its way onto the reworkings of designs and audios. We really hope you'll enjoy it!
"? Stay tuned "
The albums are being released in limited double gatefold vinyl. The Tatterdemalion Express is being released in black splatter gold (200 copies) along with a regular black edition (300 copies). Draining The Waterheart will also have two editions: Marble blue (200 copies) and regular black (300 copies). Newly remastered by Jaime Gomez Arellano (Ghost, Paradise Lost, Ulver, Cathedral, Sólstafir, Mayhem, etc), these vinyl editions will have revamped layout along with new liner notes by the former band members plus fellow musicians and fans.
Free streaming services of the new remastered audio of both albums will be available on Bandcamp, Spotify, Youtube, Amazon, Apple Music, Tidal, Napster, and Deezer.
