Dismember - Considering Releasing New Album
In a recent interview with MetalBite.com, Dismember drummer Fred Estby revealed that the recently-reunited Swedish death metal legends might consider releasing their long-awaited ninth studio album in either 2022 or 2023. It will mark the first full-length record by Dismember since their 2008 self-titled album, and their first one with Estby on drums since 2006's The God That Never Was.
When asked if there were plans for a new album or at least a song or two from Dismember, Estby said: 'We don't know yet. We have been talking very loosely about it, but we got together to play shows and to have fun. We haven't got much further than that. We have a setback for over a year now and we haven't really decided. We'll see what happens."
As for the band's future, he commented: "I hope we get out of this situation soon so that we can play some shows and we wanna get more shows going across the globe, a lot of territories that we haven't booked shows for yet and I hope that's gonna happen as soon as this is all over. And maybe we'll have a new record out in a year or two."
