Devin Townsend - Announce European Touring Plan

After a long time shuffling his feet, desperately waiting to get back on the road, Devin Townsend is very excited to announce his first tour dates in support of the forthcoming album Lightwork, due to be released in Spring 2022. No UK dates again. You don't have to be John Nash to see a pattern developing here.

I know, right. I mean not even a single London date. I reckon it will be just one London show from now on depending on how big the band is.

There is a 6 day gap between the Irish date and the French one that could have UK dates. He's supposedly (if it goes ahead) playing Bloodstock in a few weeks which may mean he has to delay announcing those dates yet. I wouldn't jump to that conclusion just yet.

This is likely due to the UK exclusivity with Bloodstock Festival

Good point. Didn't think of that. I have been tempted by Bloodstock but Covid restrictions may continue into August at this rate.

I know - but many bands are missing out the UK at the moment. Hope it's nothing to do with Brexit or this could be the future!

That's pretty irritating living in York! Multiple tours are missing out the UK entirely or just playing London.

See Omne Metallum's post. Hopefully there's a announcement delay due to Bloodstock... even if I decide to do Bloodstock this year, I'd like to see Devin in a more intimate environment.

Hmm, nice, I've seen good ol' Devy only once at Hellfest years ago (and it was awesome), would love to catch him in a more intimate setting. April 27th 2022 booked.
