Shadow Of Intent - Releasing 'Elegy' Album In Early 2022

Deathcore purveyors Shadow Of Intent present Elegy, their fourth full length instalment, ready to be unleashed on January 14th, 2022. The effort was written and recorded at guitar player and producer Chris Wiseman's studio in Beacon, NY. Engineer Christian Donaldson handled the mixing and mastering process. Give a spin also to the newest single, "From Ruin... We Rise", together with an official music video (directed by Joey Durango).

Bringing back keyboard virtuoso Francesco Ferrini (Fleshgod Apocalypse) contributed additional arrangements to give a full cinematic experience to each song. The band’s new drummer Bryce Butler (The Faceless / Abigail Williams) teamed up with engineers Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland at Atrium Audio to record live drums.

Vocalist Ben Duerr on album: "Elegy marks a new chapter for Shadow Of Intent, and we couldn't be more excited to share it with you all. We feel this is our proudest and most passionate effort to date, and embodies a subject that needs to be remembered in tense and uncertain times such as these. Elegy reflects on the fallen of modern history's darkest conflicts, inspired by facts, biographies and testimonies of those who were unfortunate enough to witness them, as well as the constant racing for power and resources that diminishes sovereignty worldwide."

Album track listing:

01. Farewell
02. Saurian King
03. The Coming Fire
04. Of Fury
05. Intensified Genocide
06. Life Of Exile
07. Where Millions Have Come To Die (feat. Phil Bozeman)
08. From Ruin... We Rise
09. Blood In The Sands Of Time (feat. Chuck Billy)

Melancholy is such a great album that I don't want to expect as good with the new album. Future will tell.

I'm not familiar enough with the band to notice any replacement in the lineup. I'm still trying to find their previous albums.

Me I listen to it on spotify, I want it on vinyl but for now the price it too high with the change rate. I saw that you like SepticFlesh and Dimmu Borgir go check on youtube their song Gravesinger.
