Battle Beast - Debut New Standalone Single

In January, Battle Beast unleashed their latest new album Circus Of Doom. Today, the Finns debut their brand new stand-alone single - "The Lightbringer" - which will be part of the bonus version of Circus Of Doom set to be released on April 29th.

The band comments: "We're really happy to present you these two missing pieces of Circus Of Doom that didn't quite fit the album, but still deserve to be blasted from loudspeakers around the world. "Lightbringer" presents the more dark and orchestral side of Battle Beast, that knocks you down with a catchy chorus and an absolute hurricane of guitars. Hope you all dig this one!"

Some of the album songs where similar to Dark Element and this one brings Cain's Offering on the table. Maybe Mr. Liimatainen did some compositional work for the band?

More or less since '09, circa Polaris, Stratovarius have also been playing something in this vein, which actually coincides with the release of the first Cain's Offering. The keyboards on this one actually remind me a lot from the ones on Halcyon Days, from said Stratovarius. Coincidentally again, Cain's Offering has two members from Strato; the singer and... the keyboard player. Suspicious...

Actually, Jani wrote some songs both for "Nemesis" and "Eternal".

On "Eternal" mostly, yeah. What I find super interesting is that Stratovarius' ascension after the Tolki's debacle his somewhat related with Jani's involvement. On the opposite side we have a slowly but surely accentuated change in Sonata Arctica since he left. It might not be related but it might be, so yeah.
Completely off topic, but fun to dissect.

Cheers
