Atmospheric black metal band from Denmark, Sunken, have parted ways with drummer Jakob Ridder. For a couple of upcoming booked shows, Simon Frenning (Morild, Heltekvad) will be filling the spot.

"We must sadly announce that Sunken and drummer Jakob Ridder are parting ways. Jakob told us last month, and while it doesn't come as a complete shock, we're sad to see him go, and we part as dear friends. Jakob will play his last show with Sunken at Vendetta Fest 2022 at Stairway, May 6th. For our currently booked shows outside of Denmark in October, Simon Frenning (Morild, Heltekvad) will be behind the drum kit.

"Jakob (along with Kasper who we parted ways with last year) has been part of an era of the band that saw us go on our first European tour in 2018 shortly after Jakob joined the band, then writing, recording and releasing our latest record Livslede, trying to navigate through a pandemic, and this year finally playing some great shows again. He will be dearly missed. We are now looking for a new drummer to fill Jakob's shoes as a permanent member.

"You must:
- Be competent in your drumming skills, both in terms of speed, precision and endurance.
- Own your own gear, preferably an entire drum set.
- Be able to rehearse regularly with us in Aarhus, Denmark.
- Be willing to focus on Sunken, play shows in Denmark and go on tours with the band for up to 14 days.
