Avantasia - Drop New Track Feat. Floor Jansen
To promote upcoming album release A Paranormal Evening With The Moonflower Society, Avantasia unveil another single in preview. The song "Misplaced Among The Angels", which features Nightwish's Floor Jansen as guest vocalist, is available for streaming together with lyric video clip.
Mastermind Tobias Sammet comments: "There are still some special voices and artists left that I wanted to work with; one of them being Nightwish singer and frontwoman, Floor Jansen. "Misplaced Among The Angels" was already finished when I asked Floor to contribute to the song. She said she could imagine singing it, although she wasn't 100% sure in the beginning if the lower range passages would suit her rather higher range singing style. But without further ado, she gave it a shot and she delivered unbelievably. I personally think that "Misplaced Among The Angels", complete with Floor’s strong voice, is one of the best ballads of my entire career."

1) The song is mediocre. 2) My wife hates when musicians promote their work with statements like “It’s one of my best” and I’ve come to agree with her. It comes across as narcissistic and desperate, and whenever I read or hear such a claim, I adjust my expectations downwards. 3) Alexander Jansson is an incredible artist.

I enjoyed it. BUT it is very generic and nothing special. I agree with the above comment that when people say that it sounds very lame and desperate. Not a bad song, but two others singles are miles better.
