Spectral Lore - Releasing 4-Track EP Next Month

Before putting out next studio album, Spectral Lore announce the release of a 4-track EP in March. Dubbed 11 Days, it will be released on March 20th and comprised of two metal and two electronic tracks. One of the tracks, "Moloch", is now available for streaming down under.

The mastermind Ayloss shared the following statement: "I had mentioned before an EP that would be released before IV and I'm finally at a point where I can announce this project and present the first track of the album. 11 Days is a concept album that is centered thematically around a journey for survival that takes place in the sea, inspired by and dedicated to the thousands of refugees that cross the Mediterranean sea each year for a chance at a better life, under hostile and deterrent policies which have resulted in a huge loss of human life. It is meant to be both a musical album and a statement of protest against the anti-immigrant policies of the European Union. All proceeds from the digital version and a large portion of subsequent physical editions will be donated to pro-refugee causes.

"Musically, the album is comprised of four tracks of a total 44 minute length, two metal and two electronic tracks. I've been very lucky to collaborate with a long list of excellent musicians which have aided me with the electronic and synth elements of the album (Nate Collins Composition, Odile Aurora Strik) and in the department of vocals, where members of radical black metal bands Yovel and Voak have offered their voices. The aim with the unique structure of the album was to provide a sort of 'cinematic' narrative, to present what is basically a political concept in an engaging way. The cover has been painted by Christina Chrysanthopoulou whom I must thank for the inspiring result and patience to work on every little detail I had asked."
