Up until now thoughts of a Khanate reunion, let alone a new album, seemed like wishful thinking. Well, turns out that the band has been working on a follow-up to 2009's Clean Hands Go Foul since 2017, and now we have a new Khanate album titled To Be Cruel. The album was surprised released by Sacred Bones Records on the 19th of May, with physical versions available for pre-order. You can stream it below.

The band posted the following: "The hiatus has ended. To Be Cruel, the new Khanate album, is out now via Sacred Bones Records. 3 songs, 60 minutes available to stream and download immediately. LP and CD versions, alongside official merchandise, can be pre-ordered now. To Be Cruel will be in stores June 30th except Japan where street date is July 5th via Daymare Recordings."
