Maltese gothic doom metal unit Weeping Silence are back with their new studio album Isles Of Lore, due out November 24, 2023 via ViciSolum Productions. The band about the new single: "The Watcher On The Walls" is Weeping Silence’s first single from their upcoming album Isles Of Lore - that is inspired by the timeless allure of Maltese folklore characters, creatures and legends. This album exemplifies the current stage in Weeping Silence’s stylistic evolution - that might be best described as Melodic Metal with influences from Progressive and Death Metal.

"This opening track is about “Il-Ħares” a secretive and violently ill-tempered guardian spirit that watches over households and can provide gold coins or favours - in exchange for strict terms and conditions e.g. an adherence to a code of silence. He lives within the walls and floors and is usually invisible but, on rare occasions, takes the visible form of a hooded man with dog-like features, a black snake, a large cat, etc.''
