For Swedes, Ultima Thule is a nationalistic viking rock band with nazi connections. They've been controversial for over 30 years, denying being right-wing extremists even though they opened a record store in the mid 90's selling white power records, playing the same concerts as nazi bands and co-distributing records with a neo-nazi label. Although Thule is what ancient Greek and Roman literature called the most northern locations of Europe and Ultima Thule literally just means "farthest Thule". So Tolkki obviously has nothing to do with the Swedish band. It sttill leaves a sour taste in the mouth though to utter the words Ultima Thule.
