Swiss post-metal band When Icarus Falls have marked the end of a prolonged period of inactivity by announcing the release of a new album, titled Eternel. However, the album has been released under a new band name, as the group have rebranded themselves as Colmaar, albeit with the same line-up that the ensemble have had since the formation of When Icarus Falls.

The name change was announced in this following statement posted to the Bandcamp page of When Icarus Falls:

Hello everyone,

News from Icarus. A long radio silence that sounds like a hiatus. Yet we've spent the last few years questioning ourselves, composing, recording, rehearsing, changing premises, rehearsing again, refining a sound.

A long quest that is now coming to an end. The album is finally ready, and it will herald many changes.

When Icarus Falls is now giving space to COLMAAR. Same people, different vibe.
