Mefitis - Announce Third Album Release
Oakland, California-based black/death metal formation Mefitis are ready to unleash their third full-length offering, The Skorian // The Greyleer, on November 29th 2024 via Profound Lore Records. The 8-piece music output was mastered by Dan Lowndes at Resonance Sound Studio. To taste a first piece of the new music, give a spin to "The Untwined One" track.
Their newest work: a duology in grey titled The Skorian // The Greyleer was initially conceived as an experiment for analog tape, the new record is informed by the constraints and particular character of that medium. The dual title is indicative of the two halves, which were recorded in separate time spans and studio locations. Tracks 1 - 4, comprising 'The Skorian' were recorded to analog tape during 2021 and 2022 at Emberdusk Studio. Tracks 5 - 8, comprising 'The Greyleer' were recorded to analog tape during 2022 and 2023 at Emberdusk Studio 'B'.
