Mar De Grises - To Reunite For Live Shows

Doom metal masters Mar De Grises are back! The Chileans have checked in with a statement, announcing that they are going to reunite to perform a couple of exclusive shows in 2025. You can read the band's full statement down under.

Statement from the band as follows: "More than a decade has passed since our last show. Back then, our paths diverged and we said our goodbyes. But the bonds and the music we created have always remained in our thoughts and hearts.

"Today, we are excited to announce that we will be reuniting to play a couple of exclusive shows. And our lineup will be the one from our most active period: Alejandro Arce - drums, Rodrigo Gálvez - bass, Rodrigo Morris - guitars, Juan Escobar - vocals and keyboards, Sergio Álvarez - guitars. We are certain that these shows will be a great opportunity to reconnect as friends, as a band, with our working team and with people we greatly admire both from the Chilean and international scenes. And of course, they will also be a wonderful chance to get to spend time with those who enjoy our music and with our most loyal fans, some of whom have followed us for 20 years and who, along with others, have passionately kept the band's legacy alive. And, why not, this might also be an opportunity to introduce ourselves to those who haven’t heard of us, have never seen us live or to anyone who wishes to discover honest and intense music, beyond the labels of heavy metal or rock.

"But the heart of the matter lies in inviting you to a musical journey through our entire history consisting on extended shows, with our hearts operating at full capacity in a deep and intense environment. As for additional features, we are already developing the appropriate atmosphere, including screens and multiple tools that will resonate with the intensity of our music.

"Rest assured that we will deliver a memorable and unique experience, as we wish to share the essence of our work and connect with you once again during shows filled with memories, passion and energy, in the most genuine and fascinating way possible. We sincerely hope to see you at each show and reward you back for supporting us. These are confirmed news. We will soon give you more information. Feel free to spread the word.

"With heartfelt affection, Sergio, Rodrigo G, Juan, Rodrigo M, and Alejandro – Mar De Grises."

It would be a dream come true if Roadburn would be a destination for them. I highly doubt it but a man can dream.

I saw the dates they had lined up and instantly thought this could might be one band that could possibly tempt me to Roadburn by themselves
