Mgła - New Music Output Coming Out Soon

Polish black metal force Mgła have announced the release of Torn Aether, a collection of live recordings. The work will be available in a few weeks on double CD and digital formats, with a 3-LP box set to follow in the future. The band also plan to release another unspecified work in 2025.

Statement from the band: "Status update: out of the two releases originally planned for this year, one materializes in time. The other doesn't until sometime in 2025. Coming in a few weeks is Torn Aether: a compilation of live recordings. 2 CD & digital first, 3 LP boxset a little later. 2+ hours of material including every song that at any point had been part of the live setlist, each coming from a different performance. Recorded between 2013 and 2022."

It racked a lot of votes in earlier releases ranging opinion from being overhyped and overrated to classic modern black metal outfit. I enjoyed the last 2 albums without delving into analysis.

I'm not expecting anything at this moment. So cheer me up with a double-decker, Mgla.

Exercises In Futility is the top album for the 2010s decade in here. I think it’s quite unanimous on the contrary, people consider the band great.

Not really interested in the live stuff, but eager to see how they tackle the new album, if they stay on the "safe" side, or venture in to new territory ala Hauntologist...
