Virginia-based blackened thrashers The Day Of The Beast shared sad news regarding the recent passing of their guitarist Bobby Phippins.

Comment from The Day Of The Beast: "It’s with the heaviest of hearts that we have to announce the passing of our guitarist and brother Bobby Phippins.

"Although we’d all been friends for years, Bobby officially joined The Beast in 2017. His music and creativity elevated our sound to an entirely new level and he quickly became a driving force in the band. We’ve all been super excited for the release of our new album, and Bobby’s spirits had been exceptionally high in recent months.

"Bobby ate, slept, and breathed music. We promise to do whatever we can to ensure he gets the recognition he deserves. This has been a shock to everyone, so please keep his wife and kids in your thoughts. Rest easy brother…until we meet again."
