They didn't drop PoS. PoS was having funding problems, because their label went bankrupt or something.

It's okay, man. I was pissed too. America has def been lacking the PoS goodness. Although, Zappa Plays Zappa was the highlight of Prognation. Did you go this year?

What an absolute rip off! $125 a ticket? That means $250 per couple just to see them. I missed them in January, now it looks like ill miss them again. $90 and no more it should be. I can understand if it was a rare tour, say Led Zeppelin or Pink Floyd, even they overcharge.

okay 125 seems to be ludicrous for this line-up but then again. Touring Australia is way more expensive for bands than for them to tour Europe or the US

Yeh but compare the price to say the new Screamfest festival in Sydney (We got them for $173 a ticket). Where there are about 7 or 8 big European bands. The festival is also two days. If you took out the local bands, it still adds up to beyond three hours a normal gig lasts for the European bands.
Opeth tours all the time now to Australia, they only charge $74 for their next gig in November.

Festivals are also over here cheaper in comparison.
Btw I wasn't sayinf 125 is what I would consider a normal price. I wouldn't even consider 74 a normal price for a band such as Opeth, not even for flying all the way to Australia. Their show isn't soo elaborate and full of special effects it warrant such an outrageous price. What I think is the case here is that the bands and their management thinks: "mmm, Australians don't get to see that many european or us bands so they are most probably willing to pay a lot, let's rip them off nicely there."
