Kiuas - To Enter Studio Next Month

Finnish Power metallers Kiuas have issued the following update:

"So, it's been a while since we've informed you of our comings and goings on, and there have been some questions and speculations as to what Kiuas is up to, or are we up to anything...

Well, fear not my comrades! To make a long story short: We'll be entering the studio no later than in the end of November, and start recording our fourth full-length studio album. There are about 10 new masterpieces almost completely written, which we are polishing and finetuning as I write these words. The album is set to be released in March 2010 in Finland, other areas TBA. Naturally this is and has been the reason for not doing gigs for a while, since the writing, arranging and practing of the songs demands our full focus. After the release, we will start touring, the dates will be announced once confirmed (but hold your horses until next year, kids!).

As to what can you expect: expect nothing and everything! After all, making a Kiuas record is like pouring dragon egg yolk, absinth and Tabasco into Frank Zappa's mouth while he's asleep and asking him to write a symphony about the dreams he had when he wakes up... although, ...well anyway... Or, going out with the members of Kiuas: you never know what's gonna happen."

Ha! love their analogy for their song writing process!

Cool news, love their work its always fresh but "Kiuas" to its core..."A New Dark Age" was fantastic and hopefully they continue their impressive work on the upcoming album.

I really hope they tour the US in support of the new record.

That analogy involving Frank Zappa was a great one.

I hope I like it. I'm only really keen on the first album, and even then I'm not massive on it.

The reason I have an interest in this band is because (although I've seen them twice) when I saw them at Hammerfest earlier this year, they were absolutely fantastic.
