Airbourne - New Album Title And Release Date Revealed

Official press release

Australian rockers Airbourne are pleased to announce No Guts, No Glory as the title of their second album for Roadrunner Records. The album is set for release on February 23, 2010. No Guts, No Glory was recorded in Chicago with noted producer Johnny K (Disturbed, 3 Doors Down, Staind). The band relocated from their shared home in Warrnambool and moved into K's spacious studio to record the album.

Frontman Joel O'Keefe says: "Working with Johnny was great, he's one of the boys. We basically just set up all the gear, chucked a few mics around and went for it! Good times!" Brother and drummer Ryan confirms the precarious microphone placement: "With this album, we threw the mics all over the building, left the doors and windows open and pressed record!"

Airbourne, known for their adrenalized, "work hard, play harder" style of rock, will embark on a two-month European tour in early February that will span two months and kick off with several UK dates. The band will commence US touring of major markets beginning in April. They will live on the road through the summer.

When I saw the band name, I first thought of the cold medicine made by that school teacher.

I wonder if Angus Young is going to write their music for them this time around too? I'm anxious to hear it nonetheless, but probably not for the reasons other people may be...

Still, if they really are recording this way, it sounds like it may actually sound interesting, production wise at least.

i had the displeasure of having to bear their impossibly bad sound(that fucking bassdrum killed my ears, most of the times all i could hear was just THUD THUD THUD THUD) and uninspired music at Wacken, and if they left the windows open and shit, i'm pretty certain they're gonna sound the same on this next album.

Who gives a shit if they sound like AC/DC? Are AC/DC fans the right guys to complain about originality?? And... belive it or not, there are actually some differances between them. Airbourne got 10 times better sound and every single song kicks ass.
