The riffs near the end sounded very Pantera to me.

The riffs near the end sounded very Pantera to me.

It's very similar to "Psycho Holiday".

I'm sincerely impressed by track 3, there's so many unexepected elements. Other than that It's a typical brutish Duke album, maybe a bit more melo/groove oriented.

"Force of Habit" is better than this one.
For some reason, most tracks here have good moments, like great riffs and solos, but they feel disconnected, the song writing is really poor.
Other down side is the Dukes vocals, too weak compared to his other albums, now i understand why he wanted to work with Andy Sneap so badly in "Blood in Blood out".

So evidently the singer wasn’t the problem.

I'm not at all impressed by this, it's their worst and certainly most uninspiring release to date imo, Just very dull, dry, and forgettable, and lacking energy.

There are some decent moments on the album (the punk-inspired "Promise You This" or, finally, a bit of a tune, "Beyond The Event Horizon"), but overall it’s a lacklustre effort. A wall of sound with absolutely no concept. What a shame.

Dukes was recorded half-heartedly. The bloke’s got a killer voice but sang like a dud. At times he sounds like a worse version of Body Count’s Ice-T.

The title track is a bit of a mistake.

Maybe next time.

This album confuses me because it has that Dukes-era sound from the 2000s that I love, but the songs are simply flat and easily forgettable.
There are some standout elements that are quickly ruined; it's like a scrapbook.

I'm a little surprised it's being judged quite so harshly. I still found this quite an enjoyable album.

Yes there are some duller moments, and I definitely prefer Zetro, but it still has that unmistakable Exodus sound. Seems they've been wanting to experiment a little too (track 3 and 10) and the result is pretty cool. I like it.
