Sometime I have the chance to receive real UFO at home. No no don't worry I'm not talking about ET today but about a band from Switzerland, Enigmatik. Their new album "Slitherin" is an incredible album of "Brutal Jazz Metal"? This is really new, fresh, not so perfect maybe but at least this is really original. Have a look on this release as soon as possible my friends!

Enigmatik is a really original band and their music is really disturbing. Just imagine some guys who love Brutal Death and Grind and Jazz? At the end their music which mixes all those influences is really disturbing because of course it's really strange to listen to Grindcore with slap bass and Jazzy jam sessions? It's cool really because our guys are good musicians though evidently this album is also a real mess? This is its main problem actually, the songs are long and really messy, evidently that's not easy to mix brutal music with experimental Jazz. But it's a first album and at least Enigmatik has it own sound!

The album has a nice production and I like the artwork and the style of the musicians. There is something special behind this band and if I say it again sometime it can be a bit messy we have a lot of good original and not commercial songs on this release. Let's just hope that in the future Enigmatik will be able to add some choruses a bit more catchy (I'm not asking to the guys to become mainstream but catchiness means success too!).

"Slitherin" is a real UFO, this album is surprising as hell and that's good to find such kind of releases nowadays. This is not perfect and can be a bit boring if you use to listen to "direct" music but if you're into Progressive sounds and love brutal music and Jazz, have a look on "Slitherin" as soon as possible. I have a lot of good hopes for the future of Enigmatik, let's hope that they will confirm my words then.
