Opeth - Album Artwork Revealed
The cover artwork for "Watershed", the forthcoming album from Swedish metallers Opeth, can be viewed here. The cover was (as usual) designed by Travis Smith in co-operation with frontman/guitarist Mikael Åkerfeldt.
"Watershed" is scheduled for release on June 3 via Roadrunner Records (one day earlier internationally). The CD, recorded in the band's native Sweden and produced by frontman/guitarist Mikael Åkerfeldt and Jens Bogren, is a masterwork that follows the time-honored Opeth tradition; its modern yet timeless, progressive yet paying homage to the sounds of classic rock.

Its not horrible. But then again its also not the quality that I usually expect from Opeth. I am very interested to see what this album will sound like. The song lengths are quite a change.

Ah, the age old cliché... Judging a book by a cover... I've lost all faith in you MS. Especially with the whole "OMGZ OPETHZ POPULER NOW SO THIS ALBUM IZ GONNA SUCKS SO HARDCORZ" - Lets face it, Opeth changed once (Damnation aside)... Morningrise was the last of their old style, everything after that was different interpretations of their new style. The artwork looks fine, it has the same victorian/ghastly flair that most of their other albums have had, people just like to complain about something as mundane as album artwork to fill their boredom with some masturbatory complaints. ...Rant over.
