//I love when a song no matter what type has a nice easy acoustic little melody or bit hidden in it somewhere. My favorite is in the song In The Shadow Of Our Pale Companion by Agalloch right around the 1:07 mark. And The World Returned by At the Gates, the end of To Bid You Farewell by Opeth.....What are some other good ones??//

Hmmm... my favourite must beeeee... the outro of In Flames' "Behind Space"? Although "Dark Medieval Times" by Satyricon kicks ass too.

the best one that comes to my mind is Soulfly's ''Mars''.. it starts heavy, but the brazillian acoustic parts starts at 2min, and are amazing. Reminds me of some folk songs from northeast region.

23.09.2008 - 10:42 Written by X-Ray Rod on 08.08.2008 at 16:13 I agree. Burden from the new album is a great peace of music imo. I love the intro acoustic riff from Isis and Osiris by Ayreon, and the short solo in Amazing Flight also by Ayreon. Silently by Vanden Plas has a nice acoustic part in the solo too.

I recommend you check out the Nine Inch Nails album "Still" it was the second CD from the "And All That Could Been [Live]" set, they may not be the most complex acoustic guitar parts but they are definitely beautiful...

Damn, it was in a song of "The Acoustic Verses" of Green Carnation. Ah yes, The Burden is mine... alone. Even though I am not completely convinced that it is the acoustic brilliancy of the track itself that is so awesome, or the entire atmosphere of the song... Come to think of it, that whole album consists of some acoustic supremacy!
