the best one that comes to my mind is Soulfly's ''Mars''.. it starts heavy, but the brazillian acoustic parts starts at 2min, and are amazing. Reminds me of some folk songs from northeast region.

I agree. Burden from the new album is a great peace of music imo.

I love the intro acoustic riff from Isis and Osiris by Ayreon, and the short solo in Amazing Flight also by Ayreon.
Silently by Vanden Plas has a nice acoustic part in the solo too.

Listen to Jester Script Transfigured by In Flames from their album Whoracle. Easily the best ever.

metallica's fade to black got two nice ones, master of puppets has one really good one and the intro to battery is a really chill sounding intro

I recommend you check out the Nine Inch Nails album "Still" it was the second CD from the "And All That Could Been [Live]" set, they may not be the most complex acoustic guitar parts but they are definitely beautiful...

ilike the acoustic/foly songs of ensiferum, tears, kavela melody etc but i also like the acoustic bit in the middle of blood is the price of glory. they also have some pretty cool album intros.

Some tracks off of Dark Medieval Times, everything by Ensiferum (at least everything that includes acoustic guitars), Night's Blood by Dissection.

Ulver. Just about anything off their albums Bergtatt or Kveldssanger.

The last acoustic thing I got into playing the intro to Pantera's "The Sleep," a really original piece of music. Check it out.

Into The Dead Sky - At The Gates. Love it.

Damn, it was in a song of "The Acoustic Verses" of Green Carnation. Ah yes, The Burden is mine... alone. Even though I am not completely convinced that it is the acoustic brilliancy of the track itself that is so awesome, or the entire atmosphere of the song...

Come to think of it, that whole album consists of some acoustic supremacy!
