We really need to make a proper wikipedia page for Metal Storm. Since wiki is democratic and everyone can edit it, I'm going ahead and posting this link here, so that any one of our users can add content if they feel like it. Thanks in advance!

Perhaps those of notable mention should be added to the wiki page for Metalstorm...like Ivan...the mods, admins, people who have done a lot for Metalstorm...also, what goes in Metalstorm...in the forums...different options that Metalstorm has to offer...

Because there to many poeple browesing site and name Kariasakis7 well maybe K7 but not old name, long and complicated story,

Decided to submit some information about being a member on the site, basically just a very simple explanation of the profile format. Feel free to edit, it is very basic at the moment, but I just wanted to add something so people who stumble across the article will have some info on the site.

As I said before, wiki is free information so all of our users are welcome to edit the page.

And we are working on collating a comprehensive history as well, should be ready sometime soon.

Wikipedia is awesome...there's a page for just about everything! I could have sworn there would already have been a page there FOR metalstorm. Cool that people are helping create one though!

It is strange in a way, but if you look at metal-archives wiki in comparison you will see it's not that bad. This album ratings system/top albums is fairly unique to MS so I thought it was one of the more important aspects of the site. But hopefully more categories will be added soon so it doesn't look so bare bones...

Today first I wanted to edit the En.wikipedia but it's a little complicated, and needs someone who can fill the page well first then we can add other informations to the page.

But what I could do to start a page on Fa.wikipedia and link the first translation to the English version... I don't know if that it's useful or not, but I did it.. I translate some parts of En.wikipedia, Alexa and some information on MS...

I put some info about forums, members, site features(bands, albums, 100 top albums, events, locations, funny stuff and rating system), MS Awards, Video interviews and states in Alexa... Hope it does well.

And here we go

i think with this persian wikipedia page the possibility of MS getting filtered dramatically increases...

Haha! Fucking finally. I got tired of going to Wiki and typing in "Metal Storm" only to get a damn Metal Storm weapons system result, or a Metal Storm computer program or something.

Well I didn't think about this one! But the filterers first of all search the word in google and then start to filter the website (this is beside the filtering by words).. So if they wanted to filter metal sites they started from there, but almost all of them are open except a few...

well, you're right.
those non-persian metal sites (music in general) are url-filtered, manually not automatically, i think. but i'll kill you if i see this someday: "Moshtarake gerami, dastresi be in site emkan pazir nemibashad" while loading MS!!

Thank you all for contributions, the wiki is starting to look good!
Just a word of advice - try not to list things too much, its much better to have descriptive passages in wikipedia than lists of features or forums or whatever. Just looks cleaner. Naturally, wiki is still pure free information so feel free to write whatever you want (as long as its verifiable).

Yes, it's better now.. Genres categories are good.
But there is problem with Wikipedia, sometimes they warn that the note is commercial, be careful when you are adding informations..

I don't, because I care about what I see myself, which is different from what they say in their rankings... For example I open Metalstorm very fast with firefox, but in Alexa it's written that Metalstorm is slower than 90% of websites on the net..

Of course those who rank these sites, don't read reviews and articles.. They just open the site, see a overall of the website and database, then rank it, but if someone compare album reviews which are available on this site with those in other metal site, they understand which one is better...

No, I don't care too much about their rankings. I know Metal Storm is the biggest metal webzine on the internet - that's the main thing.

ABOUT THE RANKINGS

Alexa doesn't rank anything arbitrarily, they do it by TRAFFIC. Those sites are for some reason considered metal websites and have more traffic than MS does, which makes them rank higher. The reason why this link and ranking is mentioned in wiki is to ascertain the NOTABILITY of Metal Storm, otherwise they would delete the page. If you have some other source that would ascertain the notability of MS then go ahead and replace the Alexa notability claim with something more appropriate.

I included the Alexa link just to make sure the MS article does not get deleted. Read this article (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Notability_(web)) for more information about this.

Looks like the notability-thing with Alexa didn't help. At the moment there's a label on the page saying that it's up for deletion unless it's rewritten or something

Anyone have any idea how to support the website's notability then?
