My second first ever bought metal album =)

Could be their best.

Oceanborn and Wishmaster are the best Nightwish albums.

I think that Wishmaster may be my favourite album. It really is an awesome album with "Fantasmic" "The kinslayer" "Crownless" "She is my sin" "Wishmaster" and "Wanderlust". And the other songs don't stay behind

Such a great album. From beginning to end. Every now and then I go on my Nightwish binge, and this is album is so cohesively arranged, both in its lyrical and musical content, that I have to listen to its entirety. Bad Ass.

I think I can hear Holopainen doing backing vocals in the courus of FantasMic. There's definatly a male voice behind Turunen's, and I'm sure it really sounds like Holopainen's.

Great album and, I think, the darkest one in Nightwish discography (including Tuomas' own requiem - Dead Boy's Poem).

This album is the best from nightwish along with oceanborn. Deep Silent Complete is a masterpiece!

Wishmaster... Oh, those were the days! Such a great band once upon a time.

Good album, but still one sound, cany cant beat 1th one what is best and will be best..here are to much nonsence keys (still not prog , sympho sound) ... best song is ''She Is My Sin''

Good album, I love it but to be honest it's Oceanborn part 2. It has nothing new to offer, that's why they've changed style since.

Hey, they made another Oceanborn, but this time a little more simplified and easier to play live. Not original album by any means, but Wishmaster and Oceanborn represent Nightwish pretty much at their very best. I can put these two into my player any time and it's always good time guaranteed. I love it.

Amazing album, probably their most fast-peaced... I love it!

Absolute banger

I listened to this album quite a lot back in the day but I can't say i'm impressed by it today. It's catchier, faster and more streamlined than Oceanborn but not nearly as exciting.

This one is ridiculously overrated. It's very much a continuation of the last album, but it's a woefully mediocre one at that, and I thought the previous had its issues. This one is half as epic as the last, with the orchestration even more generic. Almost as average as the debut, except the performance and production is better. I will not deny Tarja is a talented vocalist, but boy at times she sounds downright awful.

"Wanderlust" is a reasonably good song, and the title track is nice and catchy, but otherwise it's quite hard to find highlights. Guitarwork is pretty fun for most of the time, so there's that I guess.

I'm 24 years late, but I realized that the riff in "She Is My Sin" sounds very similar to "Touch Like Angel Of Death" by Children Of Bodom.
