Creeping Death (Metallica) or Angel of Death (Slayer)? Both have similar themes of Judaism and history, even though they are very different. But which one is your favorite? mine would have to be Creeping Death, considering I enjoy the music more and the themes are less dark.

Slayer's my band, so I'm going with them. The falsetto in the beginning is nuts, the solos are nuts...I think the intensity is higher on "Angel of Death." Granted, I love them both, but Slayer has my vote.

Angel of Death is one of the most overrated songs in the history of metal (especially the scream, come on guys, the scream at the end of "Addict" is way more intense), but I still prefer it over Creeping Death. Especially because of King's whammy bar abusing solo.

I have to give it to Angel of Death, much more in depth, creepy, and chilling. Riff is catchy, King is insane, blah blah rant rant.

Angel Of Death (Slayer) got my vote, the song is more brutal, insane and that little drum solo...

Absolutely love both songs, but I'll go with Angel Of Death. The whole song is insane, especially Jeff Hanneman's last solo. lol

"Creeping Death" is an amazing song but it has no chance against the all mighty "Angel of Death". That's my favourite Slayer song and probably on my top 5-10 list of best songs overall. Everything just turned out perfect in that song.

I've never really listened to either song for the lyrics, but King's part in Angel of Death takes the cake.

Seriously? Of course it's "Creeping Death," at least for me. "Angel of Death" is no doubt great as well, but Metallica's song is so much better. Always been a bigger fan of them, and Kirk's guitar solo is just amazing (much like preferring Metallica to Slayer, I've always preferred Kirk to Kerry King).

No, unfortunately I wasn't there.
But I don't like Metallica's new performances.

I like the old ones.

their perform was the best and worst was megadeth, Mustaine's vocals were so bad. and Anthrax kicked ass I mean they were as good as Slayer.

Angel of Death. Im more of a slayer fan but I feel Angel of Death is lyrically better and musically. It came off of the best Slayer album ever written.

Angel of Death is imo more intense and insane, pure thrashing madness, and the breakdown in the middle is impossibly heavy.

sadly, the live renditions of both songs are pretty weak nowadays, Tom can't do the opening scream(which imo is the very thing that drags you in the song) and Lars's "OMG look how fast i can go!!" drumming on the song sucks.

Angel of Death's opening scream is probably the most overrated element in pretty much any metal song.

Also, Lars isn't in Slayer.

Why does Metallica lose every poll it is mentioned in ?
do those poll-makers intentionally make metallica compete with superior bands just to see them lose ?
