I'm suprised all the votes haven't gone for "Enough of those Kings of Cheese!" But gees, this is a hard choice. I'm not the biggest Manowar fan out there, but their album I do like I would place on equal footing. So... No vote for now, making this post have no purpose other then increasing my post count. I will say that it will likely be between Battle Hymns, Hail to England, Fighting the World, Kings of Metal, Triumph of Steel and Warriors of the World. Which is like half their albums...

Crystalclear Kings of Metal. The best and last big shot of a legendary band befor they begann to destroy their Monument.

Into Glory Ride is an easy choice for me. Quite consistent, sufficently epic and not too cheesy. I also like Sign Of The Hammer quite a bit, but only half of the songs are great while the other half is utter garbage. A very spotty band, indeed.

I don't know. Mine two favorites are Louder Than Hell and Warriors of The World. All the others are great. I can' think of any Manowar album that doesn't have a sharp edge.

Triumph of Steel is automatically disqualified because of that 30-minute abortion the disc starts with.

For me, it was down to Kings of Metal, Louder Than Hell, and Warriors of the World. I didn't choose Warriors because there are some random covers on it (Nessun Dorma, American Trilogy). So of the remaining two, I had to go with the album I've had longer.

Gods of War wouldn't be a bad album if you skip over all the filler.

I voted Battle Hymns, but Warrior's of the World is a close second. That album got me into them.

Mmm.. Im not too sure its hard, but definately not Fighting the world or Sign of the Hammer, Im thinking more Into Glory Ride - its just so raw and amazignly original for its time. Also Hail to England has a great sound & just ranks rite up there. My first ever CD I ever bought was Triumph of Steel when I was about 12 and its just epic. I'll put the names of these 3 in a hat and see what comes out.

Their most epic album Into a Glory Ride, followed by All Hail to England, cant stand the other albums. Listen to Manilla Road, its anything Manowar wanted to be, but couldn't.

Listen to Manilla Road, its anything Manowar wanted to be, but couldn't.

Absolutly true. And Manialla Road are technically superior in every field (especially guitarwise, Manowar really lost it there when Ross The Boss left)
Manilla Road know how to saound epic without becoming a dripping cheese fest.

The best is that Manilla Road is still releasing classics, listen to their recent album Playground Of The Damned.

The best is that Manilla Road is still releasing classics, listen to their recent album Playground Of The Damned. It makes so angry that there are only handfull people who know them, but at same I feel special to be a fan of them.

I still have to get hold of the new one, but will certainly do so.
Only thing better when it comes to Manowar are Eric Adams powerful vocals. But then again first Mark Shelton and then Bryan Patrick have a way more distinctive voice.

I couldn't decide but i voted for Hail To England. It's epic and there aren't any songs with lyrics like "Many stand against but they will never win" or anything similar.

After Warriors of the World, they were the main army to get bashed incessantly. Before, they were worshiped as a Power Metal monsters.

What an awful transformation.

I chose kings of metal, but I think warriors of the world is also really good. I remember seeing them live on hellfest 09', and they mainly played material off these 2 albums. It was such an awesome show! Too bad about that new stuff ahh oh well
