Just heard this album of theirs called "Noontide". It's amazing.

Now I know this band is NS.. but for me I don't really care if they're singing about Hitler and his regime or Gandhi and his flip flops... if the music is good, I'll love it.

Does sound pretty damn good actually



They seem borderline instrumental too on Noontide, as least the songs I've heard, or at least use them sparingly.

Yeah they're very good. The more you hear the album the more you know how talented they are.

I had the album on shuffle, and when it came up I was like "WTF is this? Why haven't I heard it before?" and boom! now it's one of my favorite.

Like you said, they have alot of instrumental parts on Noontide. Limited lyrics. 10 minutes song only has 4-5 sentence of lyrics haha.

If you're gonna be so pompous at least care a bit about the production... I mean, these guys think they're Wagner and sound like a bedroom project.

Fantastic band. There's supposedly a new album in the works. I also suggest everyone check out his side project, Eldrig.

Not bad btw. but nothing too great iether. Fun for one or two listens but nothing I will get back to.

Haha yep. I listen to a lot of pompous experimental stuff and this is miles away from that level of audacity. Still very decent though, I might track them down further.

If there is a clean sounding album, and the drums also sounding clean it's St. anger. They might sound like cookie tins, but clean nonetheless

Sure is a shame they broke up. Would have really looked forward to more after their latest album.

Ya they had a lot of potential. Seems even the solo project Eldrig from the main guy here hasn't been very active after 2012. :/

One of those things I miss the most apart from the Hannibal tv show and Elysian Blaze going into silence.

Does Nokturnal Mortum count among the good 1% ? I've seen they got some good rating and heavy acclaim. Yet to check them out though.

I'm guessing here that you probably haven't their Swan song record. It blows the last album Noontide right out of the park. The depth, songwriting and the psychedelic compositions here are just eargasm.

You seriously need to get on this dude.

This is so weird, I'm listening to that Insularum album and I can't decide whether I've heard it before or if most of the riffs are stolen from stuff I do know. The intro definitely reminds me of a song by Wolves In The Throne Room although I can't remember which one. Sounds good though, regardless of all that.
