Here's the deal, what metal band music evoke your feeling of masculine Manliness ?. I feel that it needs steadfast-stand in their music, less emotional, no depression, way more macho-extreme, no happy high epic, of course female fronted no room here, not too boring repetitive, lyric is manly way (of course a lot bands approve this point),...so power metal cant meet, Wintersun no, Manowar no, Slayer a bit boring, heavy metal too loud I cant pick one among them (just personally), black metal too extreme cold and most about religion (still personally), death metal I dont know much so please give me your choice, metalcore way too youthful rebel too noisy but I choose old Inflames even the new one also seems very manly... FInally I choose out bands of Manliness evoking the TOUGH way is Metallica (both music and lyric met), Anaal Nathrakh (music), Setherial (music), Inflames, Soilwork. Best for me Macho Manliness band is Metallica (music and lyric approved). What about your choice ? based on your preference (lyric, music, or simply personal)

RE...SPECT! Just kidding. I don't listen to metal for a tough guy feel or vibe, but Benighted and other brutal death metal bands give me a bit of a masculine energy boost.

12.12.2011 - 01:40 Written by Marcel Hubregtse on 12.12.2011 at 01:37 And the music. Deathcore is literally death metal + metalcore. Basically if Converge employed more breakdowns and triggered drums with the brutal vocals that are sometimes in brutal death metal.

12.12.2011 - 01:42 Written by Troy Killjoy on 12.12.2011 at 01:40 I love how people go on about the breakdowns when in fact both have as many breakdowns and some brutal dm bands even more. The only thing cory about Deeathcore are the at times hardcore vocals, but for the rest it brutal death metal. But the brutal death metal fans just don't want to admit to that And and for triggered drums... 99% of brutal dm bands have those as do most power metal bands, thrash metal band, hell almost all modern bands

I'm not saying brutal death metal doesn't employ breakdowns, I'm saying the songwriting is different regarding the breakdowns. BDM takes traditional death metal riffing and incorporates breakdowns into that structure, whereas deathcore bands incorporate death metal elements into their breakdowns.

12.12.2011 - 10:57 Written by arwestromen on 11.12.2011 at 14:46 I don't usually go to metal to feel "manly", obviously, but when I'm on a studying loop and I'm stuck, I play me some Lost Horizon to feel powerful. Anything with a soaring vocal can go as well. And when I say "soaring", I don't mean "dogwhistle".

Cobalt... Gin was about aggressive male behavior and excess. embracing that macho extreme male presence. Nietszche's overman/ubermensch, Ernest Hemingway;s lifestyle. further the vocalist, Phil McSorley is currently active duty in the United States Army... you've heard the phrase "put your money where your mouth is"... he put his body where his mouth was. His unit used to listen to one of the tracks off the album before going on patrol in Baghdad.

Lost Horizon all the way for me. Especially off their first album. I mean, you can't listen to "Sworn in the Metal Wind" without getting a boost of manly energy. "Don't forget you are metal, not some ass kissing whore!"

The music goosebumps you, makes your head burst out with the intense energy macho man way, who cares for the musicians tough or not ?
