From "Poser Metal" to "Metal for kids", here is, maybe, the two most hated metal genres ever created: "Deathcore", a mix of Metalcore and Death Metal (acts such All Shall Perish and Suicide Silence), and "Nu Metal", Metal Music with rap influences (Korn and Slipknot). I choose Nu Metal. Although I am not a fan of the genre, I listened a lot when I was 12~13 to Korn and Disturbed discography. I still listen these two bands, mainly for nostalgic porpuses. For me, other acts are weak, or quite boring (Slipknot, Linkin Park and so on...), but i can't take deathcore. I tried to get into some years ago, but it's impossible for me... Annoying "self - titled hardcore metalhead fans", worthless vocals and breakdowns, emo hair and so on... Now, vote and comment for you favorite, or "the less boring", if you wish.

I don't have a problem with either but I have a much higher interest in deathcore (as well as being familiar with more bands) than nu-metal so I went with DC.

I'll be the first to wave the flag of the Metal Archives and say neither.

From what I've heard of either of these I'd probably say Nu metal. Though it's hardly a favourite.

Definitely Nu metal, 'cause Korn has some kickin' tunes.
Every other nu metal band is gay, but so is every deathcore band (aside from Heaven Shall Burn, but what are we calling them these days?)

Deathcore, FAAARR better musicmanship than Nu.

You'd be too young, but 10 years ago they were massive. All the people around my age bagging them now, most of them were listening to Limp Bizkit when they were popular. They just won't admit it.

I still don't even know what the hell nu-metal is. I'm not sure if it describes a style, or an era...I think the latter.

Let me explain, there's very little in the way of commonalities with regard to style across bands that are classed as nu-metal. For example, Korn vs. Static-X vs. Ill Nino. All decent bands in their own right, but very different bands when considering musical style. Korn = alternative, Static-X = industrial, Ill Nino = metalcore. The only attribute these bands have in common is that they all hit the scene in the 1990's.
