Doom metal newcomers Pallbearer, who hail from Arkansas and formed in 2008, are about to drop their first full-length album after releasing a demo two years ago in 2010. It is streaming on NPR's site here This is looking like a nice little album. Ye thinks?

Picked up the CD yesterday after listening to the stream all week, and I gotta say, this album is great! Profound Lore Records definitely doesn't disappoint.

With Marcel on this one. Just can't get on board with the new album, it retains too little sound from the demo.

It has happened to me before but a couple of times, it just seems like a small bug. Also, if you are looking for little Marcel.... Hi! But even between Marcel and I there are a lot of differences I kind of liked Pallbearer but nothing I would go back to. The difference between the other two guys and me is that I didn't really like the demo all that much either.

A bit late, but I really dug this album. It has a nice groove and doesn't overindulge in ambience. Profound Lore seems to deliver pretty consistently with their albums.

I agree with everything that any staff member says here or in any other forum thread, tax statement or church confession! Wait... Perhaps I don't As for Pallbearer, it's a shame that they didn't live up to the expectations I had having heard their demo. I don't mind noodling so much, but even then the songs on the album lack the impact that the demo had.

01.03.2012 - 13:23 Written by Daniell on 01.03.2012 at 13:10 Yep. Although the album isn't bad in itself. If I hadn't heard the demo I think I would have appreciated the album a lot more. This here is like back in the old days when nowbhm, thrash and death metal released demos that blew everyone away and then when the debut full length came out almost everyone was slightly to a lot disappointed.
